Smartlipo™ Laser Liposuction Questions & Answers

How do I know if Smartlipo is right for me?

The best candidates for Smartlipo are healthy women and men who are not significantly overweight but have accumulated fat deposits—such as love handles, flabby upper arms, excess neck or facial fat or fat on the lower torso. Schedule a consultation to find out if you are a good candidate for laser liposuction!

What areas of the body can be treated?

Smartlipo can safely treat the neck, jawline, arms, bra fat, saddlebags, abdomen, legs, thighs, knees and enlarged male breasts. Say goodbye to your problem areas with laser liposuction!

Is laser liposuction painful?

Laser body sculpting uses local anesthesia so you will not feel anything during the procedure. At most, you will experience some minimal discomfort. Following laser liposuction, you may experience some soreness, similar to the day after a challenging physical workout. Your physician may recommend wearing a compression garment after the procedure, depending on the treatment area.

How long does the procedure take?

On average, laser liposuction lasts about 1.5-2 hours. The length of the procedure will depend on the number and size of the treatments areas.

Do I have to stay in the hospital?

No. Smartlipo is an in-office procedure performed under local anesthesia. Patients can return home to recover following laser liposuction.

How many treatments are necessary?

For most patients, amazing outcomes are achieved with just one Smartlipo treatment. Within the first week you will start seeing results, with continued improvement over the next three to six months.

How long do the results last?

Smartlipo permanently destroys fat cells in the treated area. However, it is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen to enjoy long-lasting results and prevent weight gain.

Will there be scarring?

Tiny incisions are needed to fit the laser underneath your skin. With proper care, scars will be barely noticeable. If you scar easily, you should discuss your risks with your doctor at your consultation.

How long is the recovery period?

Laser body sculpting is a minimally invasive procedure that uses local anesthesia. This allows you to recover at home in much less time than with surgery. Some bruising and swelling can occur, but you’ll be able to return to your normal activities within a a few days to a week.

Precision Tx Questions & Answers

How do PrecisionTx Treatments work?

After excess fat is removed from the area, a small laser is used to stimulate collagen production. As a result, sagging skin is tightened and your appearance is improved.

Do PrecisionTx Treatments Hurt?

PrecisionTx treatments are an outpatient procedure and are performed under local anesthetic so patients experience only minimal discomfort during their treatment. A pain medication may be prescribed by the doctor at their discretion based upon the patient’s level of discomfort.

If the PrecisionTx™ is performed in conjunction with other surgical procedures, general anesthesia may be administered during surgery.

Will I Need Stitches?

Small incisions are made behind the earlobes to remove excess fat. At most, one or two sutures may be required. In some cases, a small incision is also made under the chin which requires no stitches.

How Long Does the Treatment Last?

The procedure itself takes about one hour. Since only local anesthesia is required, patients can return home on the same day to recover after the procedure.

How many treatments are necessary?

Only one treatment is needed to see lasting results.

How Long Will the Results Last?

Are There Any Side Effects?

Some swelling and irritation may occur at the incision site, but will quickly resolve within a few days. Compared to surgical procedures, the side effects are minimal. Further side affects may occur, consult with your doctor for more information.

Cellulaze Questions & Answers

What is Cellulaze™?

Cellulaze is the only minimally invasive laser procedure designed to attack the structure of cellulite beneath your skin. It delivers long-lasting results after only one short treatment.

How does the Cellulaze cellulite laser work?

A very small tube is inserted under the skin and the laser fiber inside of the tube delivers energy directly to the treatment area. This increases the thickness and quality of your skin, while simultaneously releasing the fibrous bands that pull it down—minimizing the orange peel look associated with cellulite. Finally, the cellulite laser is used to diminish the lumpy pockets of fat that protrude though the fibrous bands under your skin.

Am I a good candidate for cellulite treatments?

Cellulaze delivers best results for people who are not significantly overweight, but who have mild to moderate cellulite on their thighs. We can provide personalized consultations to determine if you are an appropriate candidate.

How does Cellulaze compare to other treatments?

There are countless treatments that claim to get rid of cellulite. But these other treatments—massage, external energy devises, creams and lotions—can only treat cellulite superficially by working at the skin’s surface. These treatments require multiple applications and deliver inconsistent results. Cellulaze is the first and only cellulite laser treatment that treats the actual problems underneath the skin to deliver a proven longer-lasting result from just one simple treatment.

What does the procedure feel like?

The procedure uses local anesthesia to numb the treatment area, meaning there is minimal discomfort during the procedure. You may feel a light pressure, but it is a mild sensation. Following a Cellulaze treatment, you may experience some aches, much like after a physical workout.

How long does the Cellulaze procedure take?

On average, this cellulite laser procedure will take two to five hours. This is dependent on the size of the areas to be treated.

Do I have to stay in the hospital?

No. Since the procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, patients can return home to recover shortly after treatment.

How many treatments are necessary?

Only one Cellulaze treatment is needed to see lasting results. Your results will continue to improve over the next three to twelve months.

How long do the results last?

Clinical studies have shown results can be long lasting. However, it is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen to continue to enjoy results.

Will there be scarring?

The incision sites will be very small. With proper post-treatment care, any scars will be barely noticeable.

What's the recovery time?

The Cellulaze cellulite laser treatment is a minimally invasive procedure which usually requires only local anesthesia. Some bruising can occur, but you’ll be able to return to normal activities within a few days to a week.
